Stefan Palzer leads research, development and technology for Nestlé worldwide. A food technology engineer with a doctorate in process engineering, he has built his career at the meeting point of science, technology, industry and society's needs. He joined Nestlé in 2000 and went on to head a succession of R&D operations before taking charge of the Group's research and then becoming Chief Technology Officer in 2018 and a member of its Executive Board. His role consists precisely in crossing a decisive boundary: turning scientific advances into innovations that can be produced at very large scale and enter the daily lives of millions of people. His perspective combines scientific depth, industrial capability and rigour in execution, with particular attention to nutrition, sustainability and the technologies reshaping food systems.
