Founder, Concetta Lanciaux Advisory Former Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Synergies, and Adviser to the Chairman, LVMH

Concetta Lanciaux is one of the most influential figures in the development of the modern luxury industry. She spent roughly two decades alongside Bernard Arnault at LVMH, serving notably as Executive Vice President, Human Resources, advisor to the Chairman, member of the Executive Committee and Group Representative for Italy. LVMH’s own regulatory filings record her as Executive Vice President for Human Resources from 1990 and later as a member of the Executive Committee responsible for synergies and as an advisor to the Chairman. Her particular contribution went far beyond traditional human resources. She played a central role in identifying and attracting many of the personalities who would shape the creative and managerial transformation of LVMH and its maisons. Contemporary accounts credit her with major appointments including Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen at Givenchy, Michael Kors at Céline, Antonio Marras at Kenzo, Sidney Toledano at Christian Dior and Yves Carcelle at Louis Vuitton. In that sense, her career provides a particularly relevant perspective for this discussion: she worked at the precise interface between creative talent, brand identity, leadership, organization and the construction of desirability. After leaving LVMH in 2007, she established her own strategic consultancy, bringing this experience to the broader luxury sector. Her participation would therefore offer the roundtable something particularly valuable: the perspective of someone who has seen from inside how creative individuals, craftsmanship, industrial organizations and powerful brands come together to transform an object into desire, and desire into lasting value.
