André Schneider's career is that of a man who has continually crossed the borders between worlds. First a professional musician in classical orchestras, then a doctor in computer science from the University of Geneva, he joined IBM before moving on to the World Economic Forum, where he became Managing Director and COO. He then joined EPFL as Vice President for Resources and Infrastructure, before heading Geneva Airport from 2016 to 2024. His career has placed him at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, mobility, sustainable development and major international networks. Today he chairs, among others, the World Climate Foundation and the Innovation Board of the Aviation Research Center Switzerland. This singular trajectory — from music to computer science, from the World Economic Forum to large-scale infrastructure — gives him a systemic view of contemporary transformations and of how organisations must reinvent themselves to keep pace with them.
